The Team
We are united by the search for new, progressive narrative forms and the question of how art can be positioned as a space for dialogue between increasingly hardening perspectives.

At LOT we think in concentric circles:
The leading team consists of five artists from theater, dance, media art, and journalism who, with dedication and inspiration, shape the artistic direction and further development of our vision. We meet several times a week, manage daily business, and further develop our formats.
But keeping this large ship sailing requires a strong crew: Our extended production team, Erasmus interns, and event heads ensure that our numerous events are possible. They bring an international perspective and active support – without them, our work would be almost impossible.
The LOT would be nothing without its pilots! Around 30 people navigate with us, contribute expertise, and help fill blind spots with knowledge and ideas.
Last but not least, all the wonderful artists we work with on projects, all our project partners and, of course, our audience!
We are not a close-knit collective, but a networking environment. Not an ivory tower, but a haven for artistic exchange. And not a rigid institution, but a permeable platform in the process.

We seek low-threshold exchange through professionally produced art, we are interested in “encounter as art and the art of encounter”
and ask ourselves how this can actually happen.

Theater & Artistic Research

Disciplines: Theater & Artistic Research
Areas at LOT: Booking, Text & Vision
Management LOT Production Studio
Together with four artists from other disciplines, I founded LOT to create a haven and meeting place for emerging art and artists. Coming from a theater background, I see art as a tool for exploring complex relationships in a sensory way. My specialty is site-specific theater interventions in public spaces, such as ARTWALK.

Fields: Journalism & Photography
Areas at LOT: Visual Communication
At LOT, I am the point of contact for orientation and project structure. As a journalist, I am always looking for new, progressive, and artistic forms of storytelling. I also produce INSELMILIEU Reportage, a multimedia podcast that tells stories of people and worlds beyond our own filter bubbles. We regularly organize journalistic events, most recently in a Viennese laundromat.

Disciplines: Acting & Artistic Research
Areas at LOT: Community, Finance
I would like to deepen the understanding of LOT as an open, experimental, and welcoming place for creative minds and bodies.
In 2018, I completed my acting degree at the Rostock University of Music and Drama. After that, I was drawn to Vienna with the vague idea that I might like it here—and yes, I do! Since then, I have performed at various theaters (Schauspielhaus Wien, Staatstheater Kassel, Dschungel Wien, Schwere Reiter Munich, Kampnagel Hamburg, Theater im Hof Enns) and traveled to many festivals throughout Europe. In Vienna, I am also involved with the Raumstation collective.

Disciplines: Theater, Butoh Dance, and Photography
Areas at LOT: Events & Lighting Design
I have been living in Vienna since July 2018 and give courses, workshops, and performances in Austria, Europe, Asia, and America. With a degree in theater from the University of Brasília (2003) and a master's degree in communication and semiotics from the University of São Paulo (2016), I have explored theater, dance, physical comedy, Butoh, circus, martial arts, and vertical dance. All these influences come together in LOT – whether on stage, behind the scenes, or when experimenting with new forms of movement, aesthetics, and event technology.

Area at LOT: Finance & Funding Controlling
In addition to my newly assumed financial responsibilities at ECHOLOT, I work in the Support Art and Research department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Since 2018, I have been part of “Generation Noir” with Florin, where I organize concerts and create hand-printed linocut posters. I recently contributed linocut illustrations to the publication “Erinnern in Zukunft” (Remembering in the Future) (insta: @erinnerninzukunft). I came to Vienna (but not from very far away, actually) to study art history. Since then, I have gained practical experience in various cultural institutions and also found some opportunities to work with my love of printmaking and typography.

I think the greatest minds don't write history, but fiction, and I believe that the most honest way to experience stories is through reading. That's why I'm studying comparative literature and currently focusing on autofictional writing.

In addition to LOT, I am currently completing my bachelor's degree in media technology, where I am mainly focusing on new media arts and the creation of immersive, interactive artworks.

I have been running the booking agency “Generation Noir” since 2012. Since 2018, my colleague Edda and I have organized almost 150 events and brought more than 500 bands and artists from all over the world to Vienna.

As part of LOT, I do live sound engineering and mix at the FOH and monitoring. I run a studio in Vienna that focuses on post-production and amplifying the voices of queer and marginalized people in the music scene. I also host the O-Sounds radio show, which airs monthly on Radio ORANGE 94.0.

I’m passionate about interdisciplinary contexts that spark unexpected narratives and foster genuine dialogue. I believe in art as a powerful form of interpersonal communication, as a place where perspectives converge, emotions resonate, and connections take shape.
At Das LOT, I’m driven by the desire to make art accessible, inclusive, and meaningful. I see cultural spaces not just as venues for artistic display, but as living environments that encourage participation, collective experiences, and creative exchange between artists, audiences, and communities.

I do not only want to actively create art, but also create concepts, spaces and moments where other artists and audience members can express themselves and feel emotion. This is why I have joined the Event Improvement Team, focusing on many aspects on how to create, sustain and improve those moments for the artists and audience!

A bit about me: I’m passionate, detail-obsessed (especially with visuals), and I love spontaneous ideas that turn into something real. Outside of work, you’ll probably find me climbing, sketching, or taking photos of random light reflections.
I can’t wait to share more of the das LOT world with all of you — the creativity, the people, and all the unexpected moments that make it so alive!

My background is a bit of a patchwork: I studied Arts, Culture & Media in Groningen and later did a double master’s degree in Translation Studies in Strasbourg and Leipzig. Somewhere between musicology seminars and language theory, I realised that what I love most is that quiet moment before the lights go up, when everything you’ve built and planned finally comes alive.
Now I’m diving into the world of event production, from stage setups to artist coordination to figuring out what to do when the curtain refuses to cooperate. I’m curious about everything, happy when things run smoothly, calm when they don’t, and slightly stubborn (in a good way).
