Program 2025
We have put together an exciting program 2025. It includes all kinds of transdisciplinary formats, performances, readings, live concerts, exhibitions, try-outs and experiments.
Besides our well known regularly formats: MOSAÏQUE, ARTWALK, OPENLOT & LOTLab, this years exhibition ARTIFICIAL TERRITORIES will feature interactive media art. In our Soundspace we host one TECHNOLOT per month and several Live Concerts - so stay tuned!
We will focus on Outreach & Community in order to expand our audiences. With LOTinContext, we mediate our formats with talks and workshops and give you the possibility to dive deeper. But we have also left enough gaps to be able to react to spontaneous suggestions and ideas and have a LOT of nice collaboration and guests coming up. Looking for space to try things out? Text us!
Our way of work
SENDING & RECEIVING
The aim of the formats we’ve developed is to implement the regular practice of “Sending Out & Receiving”—a constant relation between inside and outside (Das LOT & public space). We cultivate this approach by going out as artistic researchers and bringing back what we discover. In this way we are always renewing engagement with our surroundings. By seeking low-threshold exchange through avant-garde Art, we want to make Das LOT accessible to everyone, like we do with [...] TERRITORIES. But we not only invite people to come to us, but also bring our work into public space, like we do with our ARTWALKs.

[UN]CURATING SPACE[S]
As the ECHOLOT association, we operate Das LOT as a three-parted “Space” in which our work moves along a spectrum from curated to non-curated. All formats are developed from our practice of “Sending & Receiving”, and invite audiences and artists to interact with one another. Each member of our artistic leading team is hereby responsible for one contemporary discipline at Das LOT (performance, theatre, film, dance, music, literature, visual arts & new media art).
ECHOSPACE
forms the central area of our “Sending & Receiving” working method. This is also where we do our “Favoriten field research” in order to bring in new ideas and working methods. Each year we create one major transdisciplinary project in a public space (ARTWALK) and one transdisciplinary exhibition at Das LOT (TERRITORIES)
COSPACE
explicitly invites other artists, creatives and researchers to co-create projects with us. This includes MOSAÏQUE developed in cooperation with Flugwerk Berlin and DasArts Amsterdam. Twice a year we invite artists, creatives and researchers to open up their processes to the public. For Music the COSPACE becomes a SOUNDSPACE - our own music division with an explicit focus on new & experimental music and club culture. It consists of two series of events: LOTInConcert (new & experimental live music) and TECHNOLOT (club culture meets visual art).
OPENSPACE
enables us to remain as uncurated as possible. At its heart is OPENLOT, which offers artists, creatives and researchers free space for an entire month of the year. We also organize SUMMER RESIDENCIES for transdisciplinary artists and collectives. In addition, our LOTLab serves as an incubator for new formats and takes place monthly as a free experimental field for our Lots:innen (members). Last but not least, we deliberately aim to keep FREE SLOTS for the independent scene available to respond at short notice to the realistic frequency and dynamics of artistic work and offer space for spontaneous ideas.
